Jasper

The call came in. There was a collie at the Lorain County Dog Pound that needed rescuing. When the volunteers went to check it out, they couldn’t believe what they saw.

Jasper was an emaciated male tri-color collie, weighed only 38 pounds and was missing a great deal of hair on his rear end.

Jasper entered our rescue system and immediately began recovery. His winning personality won over everyone he met, including his foster home parents. They reluctantly parted with him when he went to his permanent home. Jasper now weighs 78 pounds, is slowly growing his hair back and lives happily with three other collies.
