Annual Collie Reunion Picnic

Our Annual Collie Reunion Picnic was held in 2007 on September 16th at Hubbard Valley Park in Medina County.  The agenda for the day included silent and live auctions (both with lots of great collie items), a collie memorial service, a craft table with items for sale, our annual group photo, and of course, lots of good food.

"Summer Classic" Dog Show
On August 25-26, 2007, NEOCR participated in the "Summer Classic" Dog Show which was sponsored by the Sugarbush Kennel Club & Western Reserve Kennel Club. The Event was held at the Metroparks Polo Field in  Highland Heights, Ohio. The club took advantage of this great opportunity to set up a booth, mingle with the guests, and make the public aware of our presence and purpose.

Sunnybank 17th Annual Gathering
Members of the club attended the 17th annual Sunnybank Gathering — "The Heart of a Collie" — on August 18-19, 2007. This annual gathering was held for the benefit of the Collie Health Foundation. Among other activities, this two-day event included walking tours, Sunnybank story tellers, discussion panels, the Junior's Handling Clinic, and Sunnybank's first Junior Match.

Club President Tom Hoadley gave a moving speech about Laddie, who is commemorated by NEOCR's official logo. A  great time was had by all meeting and greeting old and new friends.

Whine & Cheese Party

 
On Sunday, June 17, 2007, NEOCR held a Whine & Cheese Party fundraiser at The Mutt Hutt in Cleveland, Ohio. We had a wonderful pot luck spread of wine, cheese, appetizers, and desserts. A special Silent Auction was held to benefit our dogs waiting for their forever homes. There was plenty of romping and play time for dogs and fun and socializing for everyone else! The event was a big hit raising over $1,110 for our organization! Thanks to everyone who participated to make this event such a success!

Working Dog Weekend — Lake Farmpark

The collies were invited to the Working Dog Weekend at Lake Farmpark on June 9 & 10, 2007.  They enjoyed meeting and greeting the public.
