Cosmo Fund for Senior Dogs
Northeast Ohio Collie Rescue created the Cosmo Fund for Senior Dogs to provide support to both senior collies, and their senior caregivers. The fund was created in honor of the late Cosmo Plottke, and initially funded with a generous bequest from his lifelong companion, the late Ed Plottke.
The Cosmo Fund helps cover high or unexpected medical expenses that often arise with senior dogs. It also offers support to senior caregivers whose fixed or limited incomes may make it difficult to keep their companion animals. In addition, the fund provides financial assistance to foster homes caring for hard‑to‑place senior dogs, ensuring these dogs can live out their lives with dignity, comfort, and the care they deserve.
Funds are distributed as they are available, and demand often exceeds our resources. If you’re able, please consider donating directly to the Cosmo Fund. Your gift provides immediate relief to senior dogs and the people who love them, making a tangible difference when it’s needed most.
